Capture VM Configuration Details

Is there a quick way to capture VM configuration details for several servers in our various ESX hosts. I want to document things like which VMDK's are associated with the VM's and the other settings such as what networks are connected, how much RAM, how many CPU's etc. I was thinking if there's an ASCII config file per guest that I could copy them off the ESX servers and use them to get the required information. Thanks.

PJ.

You may want to look at Veeam Reporter

Hi, the vm's .vmx file has got all that info - just go onto the esx box and goto /vmfs/volumes/[Data_Store]/[VM_Name]/

Prices can vary depending on how many licenses you wish to obtain. I do know Veeam Licenses Reporter by physical CPU, not core.
