Cannot install esx on hp dc7600 that is listed tested -works for esx and i

May be somebody can tell what to check in bios of HP dc7600 workstation to make esx installation work.

I found that people confirm flawless installation on this model.

It has Intel processor and Broadcom NIC.

I tried esxi. It cannot find Sata drive: unable to find a supported device to write the VMWare ESX Server image.

The dc7600 has an ICH7 (http://communities.vmware.com/message/888483#888483) controller so with Update 3 you have to use the IDE install method (www.vm-help.com).
