Hi,
During a reconfiguration of one of my VM regarding RDM, i got a problem with my network during that time. So the reconfiguration wasn't completed properly.
After that, I tried to add RDM to my VMs and I got a error saying the file already exist. Ex : xxxxx._3.rdm.vmdk.
I renamed the file xxxxx._3.rdm.vmdk to xxxxx._3.rdm.vmdk.old and then I was able to add my RDM to my VM properly.
My question : Can I delete xxxxx._3.rdm.vmdk.old without any problems ? I know it's only a "POINTER" to my LUN but I don't want to make any stupid things.
Thanx for your great help.
Eric.
Hi Eric,
you can delete the old "rdm-vmdk" files which points to the lun. It's only a mapping file to the real data lun. If you delete a rdm file - you don't destroy the data lun.
