Can't remove old datastore

I am trying to remove an older datastore from my Virtual Center. I have tried going into virtual center, going to my datastore, and clicking remove. I get the message "This datastore cannot be deleted since it is in use by one or more host or virtual machine." I checked my ESX servers, and one of them is still connected to the datastore. So in that ESX's datastore window I clicked on that datastore and clicked remove. Then I get the error message "Error during the configuratioin of the host: DestroyVmfsDatasore: can't delete partition 1 on lun vmhba32:0:0"

What else can I do to remove this datastore?

Thanks.

Try to do a rescan of the storage adapters on the esx hosts who can access this old datastore.

be sure no vm's are running on it any more and that you don't need the data anymore on that datastore.

Somehow the isci settings on the San were disconnected. After I reconnected the san I was able to remove the datastore.
