Can't mount vmdk file using mountvm

I feel like I'm missing somethign obvious. I've got a directory of my VCB backups:

G:\VCB_Backups

This has my virtual machines backed up using commands like this:

vcbMounter -h virtualcenter01.smfds.com -u vmbackup -p "Password1" -a ipaddr:Mediasfidc01.smfds.com -r G:\VC_Backups\Mediasfidc01 -t fullvm -M 1

When I try to load this file using mountvm, I get either

Error: Cannot create vmount2.exe instance.

or

Error: Cannot create directory d:\mnt\Mediasfidc01

Here's the command I'm trying:

mountvm -d G:\VC_Backups\Mediasfidc01\scsi0-0-0-Mediasfidc01.vmdk -sysdl -cycleId d:\mnt\Mediasfidc01

What am I missing?

I reinstalled VMware consolidated backup and rebooted the server. After that, I was able to run mountvm with no problems!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
