Can't add vmfs datastore from SAN LUN on multiple ESX Servers

I am trying to add 4 new ESX servers to my Lab infrastructure, but unfortunatley have hit a snag.

From the "Storage Adapters" section I can see the 2 LUNs I need to add, but when I go to "Storage" and click "Add Storage", choose "Disk/LUN" no datastores are visible. Odd thing i, I noticed one of the actual ESX servers that was working in the past has also fell into this state and lost its SAN datastores. The 4 new ESX hosts are all fresh installs of ESX 3.5 with all updates applied.

Any idea what could be blocking this?

As a followup the original host that became problematic lost its connection to the SAN I believe after a reboot due to ESX updates.

vmfs partition header was gone, vm-support fixed the issue by recreating the header and all is good.
