Can a single be shared between more than one storage pool?

Can anybody please tell me if we can share a single big size LUN among more than one storage pool?

You want to put more than 1 VMFS on the LUN? Is that your goal?

If so, yes, that is possible.

Hello,

The rule is 1 LUN 1 VMFS. The reason is that ESX locks the entire LUN so if you have multiple VMFS partitions on a single LUN you will soon have pretty major contention. This is just not recommended.

Could you give more detail on what you are trying to achieve?
