I am using an FC brocade switch connecting an ESX 3.5 to a SAN box. I am running an SP reset test. After rebooting a particular storage unit I wait for the system to be online. After the storage is online only the FC fabric logs in to storage, but the ESX server still finds those paths dead. In the end the SUSE 10 GOS looses the connection to the Pass through LUNs resulting in File system errors. There must be some RSCN(register for state change notification) settings on the ESX 3.5 server that needs to be configured so that the server can log back. Did anyone else experience this with other storage devices. Is anyone familiar with setting up RSCN on the ESX server?
