CPU Utilization

I'm running ESX 3.5 and VC 2.5. Is there a way to track % CPU utilization for your cluster for a period of time? I see the usage in MHz, but nothing for percentage.

Thanks,

Scott

I ended up going to the summary of the cluster and getting the total CPU resources, then dividing it by the average CPU usage for the time frame. I was just wondering if you could find it in a report somehow.

Have you considered looking at third party monitoring solutions that could provide you with more granular data than what vCenter provides? Tools like Vizioncore vFoglight or Veeam Monitor can probably provide you with more information more granular information.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping to use something free. I know you can get percentage utilization with memory. I figured you'd be able to do it for CPU also.

Veeam has a free version of their product that might be worth checking out:
