C class BL460c blade with BCM57155 NIC

The NIC will not link at anything other than GIG, it is connecting to a Cisco 2950 and only supports 100/full. I've set 100/full on NIC setting in VI3 and even tried the 'esxcfg-nics -s 100 d- full vmnic3' setting...nothing, still won't link.

Any ideas??

Is the port on the Cisco 2950 set to auto/auto or is it forced to 100/full?

I think that NIC is Gbit only.

As Nibor said this NIC is a 1GB NIC.

We had a similar issue connecting to a 100MB port on a Juniper Firewall, luckily it had a spare 1GB port..

Yep...you guys are correct....only works at 1 GIG......thats what HP said also......
