OK, did a check online to find out what a "Big Brother client" was! Smiley Happy

It appears to be some kind of network monitoring/capture tool?

By default virtual switches and port groups are not set to allow promisicious mode. I assume this is a requirement for Big Brother software...

To enable BB. Create a new port group on a vSwitch called something friendly like "non-secure". Properties, Security, set promicious mode to enabled...

Come on.. This isn't a Big Brother Support Site..

But luckily I ran into the same issue:

open your bbdef.cfg file, and modify the BBNETTHREADS="20" to BBNETTHREADS="1"

Then you're all set.

But does this not affect every other client your BB server monitors?

Not sure what you are asking here.

Your clients shouldn't have the server portion installed, just the client.. The change needs to be done on the BB Server.

If you make the change on the bb server, which collects all the information from the clients, will this affect all the other clients which send info to the server.

What does the change actually do? Bit reluctant to make a change on the server just to allow one client to report correctly when its working find for all other clients at present.

No, it changes only what it says..

It limits the number of concurrent threads that BB can send to 1 instead of 20.
