Behavior of HA when esx crashes.

Hi, what's the behavior of the HA, when an ESX crash while it was running some vm, because, normally when an esx is running some lock file are on vm, so If my esx crashes, this lock files are still present no ?

The remaining esx servers are going to restart the VMs in case of an esx crashing. The distributed lock on the files are going to be released. Here is some pretty good explaination:
