Am I running ESX 3.5 Update 3?

Sorry if a silly question but...

I've applied all the patches released in Nov/Dec and I'm running on Build no. 130756 - does this mean I'm now at the same level as if I'd applied the U3 patch rather than all the individual patches?

I've remediated a host with the U3 patch and it was successful but pretty sure it dint do nuthin!

Cheers

Jon

That looks correct.

Base 3.5 Update 3 is Build 123630

With the 12/2 patches applied it is Build 130756

If you want to see the patches applied run

esxupdate -l query

It will list all the ESX patches applied.

I have update 3 install and my version is 123630. Update 3 came out on Nov 6th. I have not applied the updates from Dec 2nd just yet. It sounds like you are all up to date. Check the update manager in virtual center. You should also be able to check your baselines in the update manager tab to see what has been installed.

I would think yes. I applied U3, and post U3 patches, to a set of hosts a few weeks ago and they show in VC as being at level 130756.
