After the successful installation, when it rebooted it got hang at "VMkernal loaded successfully".

Hi All,

Yesterday i was struggling with "Not supported network device error", which got resolved with some tweaking in the vmx file. Great help from Eric yestday.

Ater that, installation worked smoothly but finaly when it rebooted it got slow, and eventually got stuck at "Vmkermal loaded succesfully", i wasn't sure how long should i leave the screen like that. Even ater 4 hrs, it remained hanged.

Is this b'cos my processor is NOT VT enabled ?, and how would i know if it is ?

Processor Info:

Intel(R) Core Duo T2400 @ 1.83 GHz

Thanks,

Ashwin

Intel releases VT-enabled Pentium 4s (Check if your P4 is one of them)

VT is disabled by default in F10 Setup. You must enable it before you can use it. The VT option is located in F10 Setup under the following selections:

Security > OS Security > Intel Virtualization Technology.

If it's not there - Then you do not have it.
