After installed a new NIC on ESX3.5, how it can been list?

Wanted to use iSCSI, after installed a new NIC on ESX3.5, list by ifconfig, only vswif0 can be listed, but the new one. how it can be list?

second problem is that after installed the new NIC, other PCs can't ping the first NIC before that it worked well. But, now only it can be pinged by itself. ethtool can see it well. why?

Thanks!

You will need to either create a virtual switch and attach the new NIC to it or add the new NIC to the existing virtual switch - check out the networking section in http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/r35u2/vi3_35_25_u2_3_server_config.pdf
