I've expanded my Array by adding 2 more SAS drives and expanding the raid 5 array on the controller so it now see's the drives as part of the storage in the HP array utility but when the ESX server boots up I don't see the extra 300GB of storage. What am I missing in getting the ESX server to see the added storage? As far as the array controller is concerned it see's the extra space as part of the logical drive. Thanks for any help.
Can you attach the wizard screenshot to the post? Have you tried to repartition everything, except the vmfs. Delete all partitions except vmfs, and start over with partitioning manually.

I don't have an easy way to get the screenshots. So what you're saying is from within the wizard I can delete all the partitions except the vmfs and it will rebuild all of them? Even delete the boot partition? It won't let me allocate the current free space. I could email you my phone number if that would be easier. Thanks.
You could go through a re-install, following the same procedure, and still keeping the existing vmfs partition as is. Not sure why a repair install won't let you partition as needed to accomodate the new space. If you don't mind losing ESX settings, then reinstalling and keeping the existing vmfs would be the next option.

I just went through the reinstall again and it still wouldn't let me allocate the new space so I just wiped the whole server and did a fresh install so now it see's all the new storage. It's gonna take me days to restore the images but I needed to have this new server online today. Thanks for trying to figure it out.

Well since no one was able to resolve my problem and I had to wipe my whole system and reinstall from scratch who do you think I should give points too? There were some good things to try posted but none of them worked.
ok, sorry
