How can i access VMs on ESX server when i am physically at the console?
I've connected Keyboard, Monitor and Mouse to ESX server. How can i work on / Access VMs running on it when infront of the physical server ?
You can't, you either need to go to the web address of the ESX Server, or use the VI Client to connect to Virtual Center, or the ESX box itself.
Wow.. no keyboard short cut combinations for accessing and/or switching between VMs at the console..
Are you really sure ? If they don't have it then nice to have feature.
No you can not from the service console on an ESX host. It is not a windows box. You can RDP to them or use the VI client and access the consoles from there.
Hello,
NO way to do it from the SC unless the VM speaks SSH. I can see access to the VMs from the SC to be a security issue. Also, if you look at ESXi which may be the wave of the future, you can not even access the management appliance at this level.
In addition, running a graphics head on your ESX server would be a major performance issue.
