2 ESX 3.5 with 64bits and 1 ESX 3.5 with 32bits

Hello,

I have a problem about the CPU of my ESX. I have 1 Virtual Client and three ESX. All ESX have the same model of CPU, but two of these are configurated with 64bits because I ask for it.

Now, I want to configurate the last ESX, but I don't remember to do it. I know that I need to modificate something in the BIOS of my ESX to run Operative System of 64bits.

The main problem is that I only can do the Vmotion with two of my ESX and I want do it with all.

Somebody can help me, please.

Thanks and regards,

Elena.

You need to enable the virtualization extensions (usually named VT or virtualization support).

Make sure to power off the system afterwards.

Hi,

If the CPU is Intel then you need to enable VT ( Virtualization Technology) in the BIOS this will enable 64 bit support.

Thanks,

Samir

Both options are enabled in the BIOS and system must be shutdown after. For Intel, it's under processor options--Virtual Technology. I'm not 100% on where for AMD
