1.5 seconds loss of connectivity in vmotion

I have two ESX3.5 server and have fc5 virtual machines running in each of them. vSwitch0 has the vmkernel and the service console whereas I have vSwitch1 on a seperate network with a dedicated nic for the vmotion migration. I dont have problems migrating VMs back and forth and it works fine. The problem is there is a loss of service for about 1.5 seconds. I'm not sure what could be the reason and what is really happening in this 1.5 seconds. Do all migrations see this delay or it is something with my configuration?

I also get a warning saying "no guest OS hearbeats found". Could this be a problem?

Will configuring vmtools help?

Thanks in advance!!

Anytime I vmotion a server, I see a 1 ping timeout. Nothing substantial enough to cause any issues. I'm a true believer that VMWare Tools should be installed on all servers.
