why the ESX 3.5 update 1 see only 64G ram instead of 128?

Hi,

I just installed a stand alon ESX 3.5 update1 on Dell R900 that has 128G RAM

but when looking on the VI client on the Summery tab I see"Memory usage 65" and I dont have any VM installed,

looking at configuration-->memory I see:

Total:128G

System:69G

Virtual Machines 59G

Service Console 22 MB

I thought that ESX v 3.5 suppose to see all the 128G

anyone have an idea how to fix it?

Change this value and see if that fixes it, in the configuration tab of your esx server, advanced settings, modify, vmkernel.boot.force36BitMTRRMask, and turn it off. You should be back in business.
