I'll be upgrading esx 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 soonish and wanted to be douby sure

It makes sense to upgrade virtual centre to 2.0.2 first, everyone agreed?

You need to upgrade VC first because only the updated VC can control esx 3.0.2

Hi

Read the release notes. Verify all version and then do an upgrade. When doa VC upgrade on an existing server ensure you do not overwrite the DB.

Good luck

VC First, actually i think its been VC first every time..!!

Well if possible id rebuild the VC, may be its just me but with the upgrade something always goes wrong..

Not so straight forward with large ESX deployments.. But remove your ESX Servers, rebuild VC, then re-introduce ESX to the new VC...
