i need to update the nic driver in a server vm that is running on very old VI ESX 3.5 host (build # 123629) i have tried removing the vnic and re-adding it but it keeps using the intel driver. (im guessing this was a p2v at some point??)
how can i force the vm to use a more up to date nic driver (i would assume the e1000 is more up to date than 2006) even on this older esx version.
