steps to learn the shared storage configuration on virtual shared storage.....

Dear Friends

I need to learn the shared storage configuration on virtual shared storage, so from where should I start, can someone list the steps from A -> Z, please guide me, I have already installed Oracle 10g RAC testings on VmWare Server, so I have some concepts,

Shared storage in terms of multiple vm's accessing the same storage or multiple ESX hosts using the same storage? For vm, you need to use this guide: https://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/vi3_35_25_u1_mscs.pdf

Oracle RAC is not supported in ESX's VM.

Anyway you can try to make it work following the same instructions to build a MSCS on ESX:

I want to use the shared storage on Linux based operating system, so please refer to guides which refer for linux based shared storage clusters.

The microsoft cluster guide presents how to setup the shared storage. Instead of the microsoft cluster setup, you can substitute your own clustering, but the disk and storage configuration from the vmware virtual machine perspective would be the same as for Microsoft cluster.
