I have ESX3 running, I want to delete all data, rm -rf does not work from command line. How does one reformat (delete/expunge) theo vmware os?
you could boot to a linux live CD then format the disks. Why not just format when you install new OS?
thanks. My customer wanted the 'warm and fuzzy' feeling/confirmation that all prior data was formatted. Matter of fact they would take some enjoymnent from issueing the command line themselves. Are you aware of a command that can be issued at command line to reformat data? To date all iterations fo 'rm' are not working..
