esx 3.0.1 problem with bcm 5751 nic

hi

i install esx 3.0.1 on machine with netxtreme bcm 5751 gigabit nic

the installation was success but after reboot the nic not load !

and idea ?

i also get error on boot about vmkernel not load .. can it because there is no nic ?

Have a look if the nic is on the HCL:

I couldn't find it but maybe under a different name?

i not see in the hcl list .. when restarting the system in troubleshooting mode .. the nic is up

Hi

When starting your system in troubleshooting mode, the drivers used are different then the ones when running normal. I had the same with my SCSI card on an older system.

If your nic is not on the HCL, it is not going to work.

lspci

lspci -v

cat /proc/vmware/pci
