XP 64bit as host.

Hi,

For performance reasons i am hoping to use XP 64 bit as host together with 32 bit XP as guests. Plus a Solaris 10 guest O/S.

Can anyone comment on whether such a configuration produce better performance than having a standard 32 bit O/S XP or window 2003 server?

Also how does this compare with having a 64bit linux as host with 32 bit guest O/Ss?

Basically by having 64 host i am hoping to boost the performance of the guest machines.

Many thanks.

Kind Regards

ESX doesn't run on a host operating system, it runs on bare metal as ESX IS the Operating system.

If you intended to ask this question about VMware Server or one of the hosted products, you should probably ask in the appropriate forum.
