Why is one VM an ESX 2.x virtual machine, but all the rest are 3.0 virtual

I have ESX3.x on my hosts.

MOST of my VMs are listed as ESX 3.0 virtual machines, except for one... it is listed as ESX 2.x virtual machine, and (consequently?) its RAM is limited to 3600.

I don't know why it's a 2.x vm, but I really would like to know how to make it a 3.0 vm so I can give it the RAM it needs.

Any guesses why the VM is a 2.x instead of 3.0?

Suggestions on how to upgrade the VM?

Power down the vm, right click and upgrade virtual hardware.

Wow, simple. I was just on my way to do that, or at least see what could be done while the VM was down, after I get all my users off that machine.

I'm still boggled at why it's 2.x when all the other VMs are 3.0...
