VpXClient has encountered a problem

Hi,

I've just tried to launch my VI client from my XP desktop and I'm receiving the following error message:

VpXClient has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Has anybody come across this issue before? This is VI client 2.5

I've tried removing the client and reinstalling but still get the same issue.

Anybody able to help??

Check your client log files at %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\VMware\vpx

Maybe there's some more info in it, what is causing this error.

Hi Arnim,

The Logs do not appear to be giving to much away...

What's interesting is that I can connect using my VI Client 2.0 to ESX version 3.0.. however when I try and connect using VI Client 2.5 to ESX version 3.5 I get the error message!

Anymore ideas?

Guys,

Just to let you know that I resolved the problem by installing Windows XP SP3 and installing the most up to date Microsoft Update.]

Cheers
