VirtualCenter Cluster Aware?

I'm upgrading the DB and have the option to go to a sql 2005 sp2 clustered environment. Is the VC front-end cluster aware? I would expect the service to crash and then restart automatically, but does anyone have any experience doing that?

Hi,

I never do that, but have read infos about clusterisation for VC server in VMWare documentation.

You should have a look that way : http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vi_pubs.html

Don't know if this has changed with SQL 2005 and VC 2.02, but using VC 2.01 connected to an SQL 2K clustered DB, the application does not support the DB failover from one node to another, we have to manually restart VC

I've been checking. I don't seem to see anything about clustering the db, just clustering VC and db if the db was local.

The only change from 2.0.2 that I think could be helpful would be that 2.0.2 sets the service to automatically restart by default install. Do you have that set on 2.0.1 and it still requires manual intervention?
