VMware VI error: Cannot connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Hello

I started getting this error(screenshot attached)Cannot connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it when trying to view OS

thru the console on VMware VI installed on XP running within VMware

Fusion. I installed all the Windows updates and Dot Nets v 1, 2 and

3.5.It works fine when connecting from

another machine. So it's specific this installation of OS.

What could be wrong?

Thank you

It seems to me there is a firewall between your desktop network and the ESX servers/VC server.

Did you check Server configuration guide?

Check for 181 onwards. http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_301_201_server_config.pdf

it was Comodo firewall. Even though it was shutdown it was blocking. I had to uninstall it

Thanks a lot
