Are you supposed to get a certificate after completing the VMware Install and Configure course??
You get a "You completed the course" certificate from the training provider.
You get your VMware (VCP) certificate after taking the exam.

depends on you training provider i think, doesn't get one from Magirus Germany.
Id of thought so, for the sort of money these cost its the least they could do..
But im assumming you dont mean VMware's VCP Certificate which youd get after you've taken the exam and assuming you've done the course, which is a pre-req..
Magirus in the UK give Course Certificates..
On question, need the course to give the examn=?, o i can give the exam withouth taking the course?
can i?
Just a note from my experience: we didn't get a certificate from our trainer. Instead, we were instructed to go to the trainer's website and print out our own certificate. This surprised our instructor as well, as she was used to having certificates on the last day of the course.
Oh, and you'll need the course to take the VCP exam.
I have had the same experience. I took the course approximately one year ago, and was promised that the certificate would be mailed to me. To this date, I have not received it.
You can give the exam without taking the course only if you are already VCP certified on earlier versions.
