We had a power outage, and all our ESX servers went down. When everything came back up, the ESX servers started but the VM's have not.
I am unable to find any area to specify this option.
In Virtual Center, select each ESX host in the cluster and select the configuration tab, then move down to Virtual Machine Startup/Shutdown. There you can modify the auto startup options.
What error messages did you see on the logs and did you see any popup screen indicating not able to power on? Look at tasks and events to see anything? Can you restart the service hostd and vpxa services to see if it works. Most of the time, VMs not able to boot is lack of resources or misconfigurations to VM's hardware. Try restart the services to see if it refreshes itself and try again.
If you found this information useful, please consider awarding points for "Correct" or "Helpful". Thanks!!!

Can you restart the vMs manually? If you can I believe the autorestart for your esx host has note been set up
Thank you, that worked perfectly.
