VM Player keeps trying to install on boot up, I'v tried uninstalling it and reistalling it and nothing.

I'm trying to remove VMware player and it is not allowing me to. I download the newest version and it won't allow me yo install it either. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place! I no longer need it on my pc and it is haunting me everytime I boot up.

i have seen this issue many times on XP but never on Vista.. Here is a link for the tool I use to fix this issue on XP.. And it looks like it works for Vista as well.

Used the Windows Installer Clean Up to get rid of the lingering files. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

It worked great on Vista Home Edition as well.
