VI 3 Installation - NIC problems

Hello,

in order to install VMWare Vi 3 on our server (Supermicro) with an Intel Megaraid SAS Controller and an intel pro 1000 MT Dual Port NIC we get the message that there is no supported network interface.

There are no other cards inside and we tried to start the machine with an ubuntu LiveCD and the NIC worked fine.

Is there any hint i can use to get it running?

What version of ESX are you trying to install the card is listed on the 3.5 io guide:

thanks for your answer.

We tried to install 3.0.2 and 3.5. All cards (Intel MegaRaid and Intel Pro 1000 MT Dual Port) are listed as supported in the I/O Guide.

Have you verified that the SuperMicro MotherBoard in on the HCL

read the docuemtation on this page
