Unfortunately VMware have not been very clear on this. It's not just VC either, it's any VMware product that causes problems,

It would be nice for VMware to jump in here and give us a formal statement...but for now, keep them separate.

As I understand this configuration can be made to work, however it will be unsupported and is probably more hassle than it is worth.

So therefore the answer to your question is at the moment - No.

They won't work together out of the box on the same installation of Windows as they are supposed to with every feature working.

For a supported installation of VCB and VC you require two different OS'.

The can work on the same box, but the issue is they use different versions of the same libraries. Which means if you install VC and then VCB, you will lose the ability to use templates.

There are a few threads on this and as stated, it can work but you get isses with templates etc..

Also apparently you can get conflict with vcmount methods..

I have done this myself, and have had no problems with Virtual Center and VCB running on the same box, no issues with Templates either..., been running for 2 months now without any issues..

VCB should not be installed on the same server as VirtualCenter Server.

This issue will be fixed in a future version of VirtualCenter.
