Upgrading from ESX 3.0.2 to 3.5 - Best practice and guidance

Hi,

I am currently managing a virtual environment running on ESX 3.0.3 and VC 2.5. I plan to upgrade this to ESX 3.5 with update 4. Does anyone know where I can find information on best practises for doing the upgrade and / or an instruction document that will take me through the process? I've had a look on the VMWare website but can't find anything. Any other document than as in attachment.

Thanks

There are several site:

http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/server-virtualization/vmware-esx-35-upgrade-path-where-to-...

http://vmetc.com/2008/01/31/upgrade-to-esx-35-without-leaving-your-desk/

In any case the upgrade 3.0.2 to 3.5 is very simple: a fast solution is use CD, a better solution (is possible is to simply reinstall the ESX).

You could have some little problem with VC, if you're using MSDE ad DB.
