I just have downloaded the "ESX Server 3.0.2 Upgrade Package from earlier releases of ESX Server 3" package to update my esx-server to 3.0.2. I'd like to do this via ssh-console...
I've extracted the tar.gz to /tmp and a directory called "52542" was created.
The questions are:
\- How do I update this running esx-server to 3.0.2?
\- Is it done with the esxupdate command? Or is there any other script?
Thanks for your help
Sascha
Once you've extracted the tar, you'll go to the folder and run esxupdate -n update
You'll want to take a look at the release notes here and if you have VirtualCenter you'll want to upgrade that first.
