Update Manager plugin not working after VC 2.5 Update 1 upgrade

The upgrade seemed to go well. However, when I try to use the Update Manager Plugin, I get the error "The VMware Update Manager cannot accept requests now because

VirtualCenter server cannot be reached, or the database cannot be

reached, or it is in the process of stopping."

I have uninstalled the Update Mgr plugin and re-installed the new plugin.

In the release notes, VMware references KB 1004680 for this issue... however this KB references a chnage to the http or https ports for the Web client. I only accepted the defaults for the first 2.5 ugprade and the same for this upgrade.

Any ideas?

AH.. I fixed it myself... it was the account that the VMware update mgr svc was using.

Check that the service is running, and using the right account, the update sets it back to local service.

It might just need stopping an restarting
