Unattended installation issue

Hello,

I created a kickstart config file, burned a CD etc, I am able to start the installation , format the partitions and I get an error "vmware-esx-drivers-scsi-aacraid ....cannot be opened". If I remove the custom Cd and insert the original esx 3.5 update 1 Cd, hit OK I can finish the installation.

I created an ISO using mkisofs and burned the CD using CD BurnerXPpro 3 ( a freeware). The normal ESX CD has also been burned using CD BurnerXPpro 3, a manual install goes OK.

What am I doing wrong ? I tried a couple of CDs, I dont think is bad media

Thanks

ESX 3.5? There are some ugly issues with ESX 3.5 and later media burning custom ISOs... The forum has a very long thread on this, search for "3.5" "ISO" "Corrupt" should pull it up with little effort.

Hi,

I use a USB stick. It works great and there is a Howto.
