Yes, anyting to make patching easier is golden in my book. So if you can add the major upgrades into VMTS, that would simplify things.

Yes - please do. Could you also have the ESX hosts displayed in alphabetical order (Seems to display them by order that hosts were added to VC).

Keep up the good work. Smiley Wink

Hi Manzi

Yes please do add the functionality and as mentioned previously having the servers sorted in alphabetical order would be good!

VMTS is a exceptional product, it has saved me a vast amount of time. adding the minor version releases into it will only improve its functionallity in my humble opinion

Please add 3.0.2 AND 3.1 compatibility.

The reason for requesting 3.1 compatibility in addition to 3.0.2 compatibilty is that VMware's new patching mechanism is apparently only for Virtual Center per se -- it doesn't look like it will be in the client -- which leaves OUT everyone who does not have Virtual Center installed, and people who only use the VC Client for managing ESX and VMs etc.

Thank you, Tom

Another vote for having the upgrade as part of the product. I have been using it to upgrade all my hosts and it works really well. As I mentioned before and as did lholling, alphabetical listing of the hosts would make things much easier.

Think I'm missing something here...I downloaded and installed the msi file, but I am still on build 2767. Uninstalled and reinstalled and redownloaded and still the same thing...

I think there is some problem with some caching engine, I've just try to download from an other computer and the build is the right one.

Wait some time before retry

Just wondering if you included anything to create the directory as required in the Virtualcenter release notes, to take advantage of an opportunity to make the VC 2.02 upgrade easier for people:

"Add Host Operation Fails When /tmp/vmware-root Directory is Missing in the ESX Server 3.0.x Host

VirtualCenter Agent fails to upgrade on the host that is missing the /tmp/vmware-root directory. To avoid this issue, ensure the /tmp/vmware-root directory exists in the ESX Server 3.0.x host before you install VirtualCenter 2.0.2 upgrade. See KB 4478241 for complete details. "

Since you're hitting the box anyway, you could create this directory.
