Storage Vmotion error

A colleague of mine had this error on one of his storage vmotions -

A general system error ocurred: Storage VMotion: Online Consolidate failed: Device or resource busy. Must manually consolidate child disks.

He says that he had done 40 Storage Vmotions from the same source and destination SAN and he made sure the VM wasn't set as independent disks and covered the other basic reqs.

Hi,

The error is related to a snapshot failure which is part of the SVMotion process.

Are you out of space?

Do you leave snapshots on VM's for more than 5 Days?

The source system may be very active on disk writes or it may have too many snapshots present.

Have a look at the snapshot manager.
