Hello,
I am not sure you can have just 3 CPUs and run ESX. If you remove the third CPU does the machine boot?
Also, there is quite a bit of stuff above the error you see. Can you get that for us?
Also run HP Diagnostics at least 10 times. Also run memtest86 at least 48 hours. Fully vet your hardware.
Best regards,
Edward

hello,
i had the same problem with dl585 and the solution is:
look the pci slots. the error was gone and esx booted correct when i changed the pci card in the slots. i had in one server only nc7170 nic and got the same error. after implement a sa624 in the first 133 mbit slot eveything was fine.

ESX Server requires a BIOS MPS Table Mode setting of Full Table APIC. With the exception of the specific systems referenced below, the following BIOS settings must be applied in order if available:
System Options > OS Selection: Select Windows 2000.
Advanced Options > MPS Table Mode: Select Full Table APIC.
And now, my system works fine
I wouldnt have thought ESX would boot without a symetrical number of CPUs,
I am surprised it even attempts to boot to be honest,
I am even more surprised the HP box didnt disable the odd chip at POST,
thats astonishing,
About these three CPUs, have you added CPUs later, and if so, are you sure all these CPUs in the system have the same stepping?
3 cpus.. how odd.
