I've been doing some testing of vReplicator on my own ESX box I use for testing. The first few replications went well but know it's telling me I'm running on a snapshot
I know I have to commit the snapshot but I'm unsure on how to .
Any help welcome
Hi, if you right click on a virtual machine and choose snapshot -> snapshot manager on the menu you'll be able to see the snapshots of the vm - then you can choose to revert to or remove any snapshots
Thanks,
Neil
To commit the snapshot you have to delete the snapshot. The changes you've made since you took the snapshot will be commited.
As NTurnbull pointed out in the previous post this can be done from the snapshot manager.
This is was it says in the SManager
Created by VReplicator (do NOT modify or delete!)
If I delete it I'll lose nothing right?
You can delete a snapshot at any time and not lose anything except for the ability to revert back to that place in time. If VReplicator is done and you do not need the snapshot anymore, you can remove it.
