I'm looking to use NAS storage for a small VMware project I'm setting up. I'm trying to choose between a Network Appliance and HP alternative. I've read the v13_san storage guide, but whilst the NetApp appliances are quoted, the HP kit isn't, apart from reference to Windows 2003 storage server being supported. What I'm looking to confirm is whether or not VMware supports " Windows Unified Data Storage Server 2003" which the latest HP Storagework kit runs. Also, any pointers to useful reference documents out there re: NAS solutions with VMware would be greatly received. Thanks
It supports NFS v3, so anything that will do that, will work provided you have permissions, etc configured properly.

Windows Storage Server should work fine, but isn't officially supported.
Personally, I think the NetApp gear is hard to beat for NFS
