Running in a debug console for extended time

Hi

Recently, when trying to restart ESX server 3.02 it came up with kernel panic and unable to mount a file system messages and stopped there. However if I start the system in the debug mode, it mounts the file system OK and runs just fine. I have found potential fixes to the inability to mount the fs, but I would like to implement it in about 4 weeks, when the school is on holidays. So the question is - is it OK to run it in the debug mode for that period of time, what are the potential problems?

Hello,

The main issue will be performance.

Thank you for your advise. That is what I was hopping for. As the performance is acceptable now, I will continue in this mode.

Cheers
