Relocate VM Storage - Operation Timed Out

I am trying to move a couple of VMs from on ESX 3.0 host to other ESX 3.0 host. They are in Local VMFS storage. After 99% in the Status, I got error "Operation Time Out". Any Clue?

Probably because the other box cannot see the local storage of the current host.

Have you tried to move it to a shared storage location?

Also, you could use VMware Converter to make a copy on the destination.

Shutdown the VM's and then you can cold migrate them to other server.

I am not sure, Vmware Converter will help you, though. Can you please explain, why did you suggest to use that option.

Well, VMware Converter (run inside the VM) can post the VM to another host.

It essentially is a V2V.
