Redundant NFS Server connections for ESX Datastore

Hi All,

I have a lab where I will be placing one physical Solaris server running NFS on ZFS. This server will have 2 network cards and each card is plugged into two gigabit switches that are isolated. Each of these two switches will have 2 vmware ESX 3.5 update 3 servers running and would mount virtual machines on the NFS store.

I would like suggestions on how the Solaris and ESX network ports should be configured so that if ONE switch dies the virtual machines running on ESX do not cash but use the other switch path to do disk writes. In the fiber channel world this would be multi-path.

Thanks,

Joe
