New install of 3.0.1, console will not work

Port for console will not light up/work. Any help on how I can diagnose this?

Presuming that your host has more than 1 physical NIC, how do you know you are trying the same NIC that is assigned to the console? It's not always that obvious which NIC the installer has assigned to vswif0!

Or have you tried all of them?

I built these in the lab, I had it working on a closed network. I now racked the servers and the port that was assigned as service console will not light up. The VMotion port next to it is working, so I swapped cables to see if I had a network problem, it still did not work and the VMotion port worked. Meaning that network is not the issue here. Logging in to the kernel at the machine, what can I do?

Wrong settings on NIC, I changed them and now it works.
