Networking does not show up in GUI

Hello, today I was testing moving my ESX setup from one platform to another (Dell PE2950s). The first problem I ran into was my storage did not show up in VIC. I could add it, but I had to reformat it it first. I did some searching and found

echo 1 > /proc/vmware/config/LVM/EnableResignature

After I tried that and hit refresh, it found it. Now, when I go into Networking, my network setup is gone. I can click Add... and it appears in that prompt, and it shows when I do

esxcfg-vswitch -l

But it does not show in the GUI. Can I reset it somehow like I was able to with the storage?

What do you mean you "moved" your esx setup to another platform? If im on the same page you are, did you take a backup from one esx server and restore to another?

I shut the server down, took out the harddrives and moved it to another identical platform, then booted it up.

Since all the hardware is different you will have to rebuild the networking.

Look on the /etc/vmware/esx.conf file to see if anything is in there.

that's where your configuration is kept.
