NIC Teaming and Failover

Hello,

I have a virtual switch which has 4 physical network interfaces attached to it. It has the following properties:

• 2 Nics are active and both connect to physical switch A.

• 2 nics are in standby mode and are connected to physical switch B

• Load Balancing based on IP hash is enabled.

Physical Switch A and physical switch B are connected to each other.

I want to avoid any kind of spanning tree problem and I am concerned as to what will happen if one of my active nics dies? Will one of the standby nics become active to replace the one that died and leave me with one active nic going to physical switch A and one active nic goign to physical switch B? Or will both standby nics become active and the active nics still working become inactive?
